7B went out of their way to accommodate my moving needs. I was late for my appointment, and Ryan waited patiently. He was prompt, presentable, and patient. He even got out the tape measure first before just trying to smash the furniture through the door, so he made sure everything fit first, and did not damage anything. Common questions
What should I send when I ask for an estimate?
Tell us the pickup and delivery towns, the type and size of the home or office, any stairs or long carries, specialty items, whether you want packing help and your preferred move date. Those details let us quote your move individually.
When should I book my move?
Late spring through early fall is the busiest season in the region, so booking early gives you a better choice of dates. Winter moves on rural properties may need extra planning for snow, gravel roads and long driveways. Mention your driveway when you call.
Can I hire movers just to load or unload?
Yes. With labor-only help, you supply the truck, trailer or container and the crew loads or unloads it. You are responsible for driving and for the vehicle. Labor-only help is billed by the hour, so a clear picture of the load helps.
How do I prepare a piano, gun safe or hot tub for moving?
Tell us the item's size, weight and the route through the house, including steps and doorways, before moving day. Hot tubs must be drained and disconnected. Safes should be emptied first. These items need equipment like straps, dollies and skids.
What can't go on the moving truck?
Movers cannot carry hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosol cans, ammunition, pool chemicals or cleaning chemicals. Keep cash, jewelry and important documents with you. Perishable food and plants on long trips should travel with you too.
Can you help with a military move?
Yes, military moves are one of our services. On a PCS move you can have the government arrange the move or do a personally procured move. Check your orders and ask your installation transportation office which costs are reimbursable and which receipts and weight tickets you need.
Do you help with storage or financing?
If you need storage between homes, 7B Moving works with Store Local Storage and Bulldog Self Storage. Financing through Wisetack is available on moving jobs up to $25,000, subject to credit approval. Ask about either when you request your estimate.
