7B went out of their way to accommodate my moving needs. I was late for my appointment, and Ryan waited patiently. He was prompt, presentable, and patient. He even got out the tape measure first before just trying to smash the furniture through the door, so he made sure everything fit first, and did not damage anything. What should I tell you when I ask for an estimate?
Give the pickup and delivery towns, the type and size of the home or office, and any stairs or long carries. Add any specialty items, whether you want packing help and your preferred move date. That is enough to start.
Can you help if I already have a truck?
Yes. Labor-only help means you supply the truck, trailer or container and the crew loads or unloads it. You are responsible for driving and for the vehicle. This service is billed by the hour.
What items can't go on the truck?
Movers cannot carry hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosol cans, ammunition, pool chemicals or cleaning chemicals. Keep cash, jewelry and important documents with you. Perishable food and plants on long trips should travel with you too.
I have military orders. Where do I start?
Contact your installation transportation office first. Ask which costs are reimbursable and which receipts and weight tickets you need. If you plan to handle the move yourself, check your orders, then share your dates and the size of the home for an estimate.
