With labor-only help, you rent or bring the truck, trailer or container. You also drive it. The crew does the loading, unloading and carrying.

Labor-only help fits when the truck is sorted but the lifting is the hard part. These are the common reasons people call.
Loading a rental truck
The crew loads your furniture and boxes into the truck you rented so you are not lifting a couch up a ramp yourself.
Unloading at the new place
You drive the truck over. The crew carries everything in, room by room, and protects floors, doorways and railings on the way.
Moving container loading
If a container is dropped at your home, movers can fill it or empty it with you, using ramps and hand trucks.

- How much you are moving: A studio and a full house take very different amounts of crew time. A rough list of rooms and large items helps set the hours.
- Stairs and long carries: Flights of stairs and a long walk from the door to the truck slow the work and can add to the time needed.
- Truck access: A ramp, parking close to the door and a clear driveway keep the load moving. Tight access or a long driveway can add time.
- Specialty items: A piano, gun safe, hot tub or pool table needs extra equipment and planning, which can change the crew and the time.
- Packing and prep: Boxes that are packed and ready go faster. If you want packing help, it is a separate service that changes the scope.

Who drives the truck on a labor-only job?
You do. You supply the truck, trailer or container and you are responsible for driving it and for the vehicle. The crew loads or unloads it and carries your belongings between the truck and the rooms.
What should I tell you before I ask for an estimate?
Share the towns involved, the type and size of the home or storage unit, any stairs or long carries, specialty items and your preferred date. Also say whether you want packing help. That lets the estimate reflect the hours you actually need.
Can a crew help with a piano, gun safe or hot tub?
Specialty items are part of what 7B Moving moves. Tell the crew each item's size, weight and the route through the house, including steps and doorways. A hot tub must be drained and disconnected first, and a safe should be emptied.
Is there anything the crew cannot load?
Movers cannot carry hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosol cans, ammunition, pool chemicals or cleaning chemicals. Keep cash, jewelry and important documents with you, and plan how perishable food or plants will travel.
When should I book if I want a specific day?
Late spring through early fall is the busiest moving season in the region, so booking early gives you more choice of dates. Winter jobs on rural properties may need extra planning for snow, gravel roads and long driveways.
Can you help rearrange furniture without a move?
Yes. A crew can reposition heavy pieces inside your home, such as moving a dresser upstairs or shifting a sectional to another room. Tell them which pieces, which rooms and whether stairs are involved so the hours match the work.
